Hard to think of seafood without thinking of Arctic Charr! Sort of a cross between salmon and trout, our family has a preference for it, even over salmon. — T. Migel, Halifax, NS

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What does Arctic Charr taste like?

A. Arctic charr is the 'Northern cousin' of the Brook Trout(which is in fact a member of the Charr family).  The flesh is milder than salmon, sweeter and more delicate in texture.  When cooked it is a lovely coral color and has just the right balance of oils to give a wonderful taste and mouth feel without any after taste.
